Both the Yahoo! Group and this HomeschoolRecess Group are used for organizing area field trips for homeschoolers. If you are instead seeking to get information about your own organization's offering out to area homeschoolers, you don't need to join either group for that. Just send us your announcements, and we will be happy to distribute the information to our members.
In general, we invite you to announce an event once on the HSAdventures list. If your original announcement is more than a month before your event or your registration deadline, you may either send one registration reminder as your registration deadline nears or one event reminder shortly before the event. While you may request that we announce important changes (such as date, time or location) to the group, we ask that additional updates be sent directly to your registered participants.
Just be aware that your announcement should be in plain text format as we don't include attachments or support HTML formatting.
Another great resource is HomeschoolRecess Public Field Trips and Events which are visible to everyone who visits HomeschoolRecess.com ... you don't need to join a group to post Public events.
If you have difficulty viewing or registering for a Homeschool Adventure on HomeschoolRecess.com, please read http://homeschoolrecess.com/node/923 before contacting the event organizer or site administrator for assistance.
