• Think before you post:

Because the internet feels anonymous, and we can't see the people with whom we're interacting, it can be easy to write things that we might later regret.  Please keep in mind that there are real people behind every post, and that you are responsible for what you post here at HomeschoolRecess.com and elsewhere on the internet, even if your real name isn't visible to the general public.  Be thoughtful, polite, and don't write anything for which you wouldn't want to take public credit.

• Respect differences:

The homeschooling community is a diverse group.  There may be site members with whom you disagree strongly.  If you can't happily agree to disagree, please ignore them, or contact them privately to work out your differences on another forum. 

• Don't feed the trolls. 

If a post seems intentionally offensive, please flag it for the moderators, and don't respond.
